——— visit to this coffee shop today and not impressed. I ordered a latte and a pain au chocolate, and was served with a burnt dried up croissant which cost £3.80. I was in two minds to take it back but didn’t. I won’t be coming back.

Update: I notice you’ve changed your review to state you ordered a pain au chocolat instead of a croissant. You were correctly charged for a pain au chocolat at £3.80 however if you weren’t served what you ordered please still pop in for a refund. ——— ———, I’m sorry you didn’t enjoy your pastry. Our croissants are £3.50, if you were overcharged please drop us an email and we can issue a refund. Please always return products you aren’t happy with, we’re always happy to replace or exchange for a refund. If you wish to discuss this further reach out to me at ———.

what we would have written

A pain au chocolat should be soft inside with a little give — not dried out. That is the standard, and if what came across the counter fell short of it, we would far rather it had come back to us.
