How City Centre cafés answer their Google reviews
In August 2026 we read every reply we could find published by 9 cafés in City Centre — 46 of them. This page is what we counted. Nothing on it is estimated, and no business is named.
Replies here run at or below the Newcastle median of 27 words. Short is fine — short and specific is what works. Short and generic is what most of these are. 48% of them touch nothing the reviewer actually wrote.

One City Centre review, answered twice
Hi ———, sorry to hear you got poor service, i know you can't reply to this message but if you can contact us directly via the website I can try and get to the bottom of who this was so I can make sure it doesn't happen again. The website is www.——— and you can email us from there. Thanks
Glad the food worked and the atmosphere felt right. Service manner is something we pay attention to — being direct is fine, but there is a difference between that and making someone feel unwelcome, and we know it.
