Disappointing. Mediocre food (barely toasted toastie) at Royal Mile prices. Very slow service - a wait to order, a long wait for food. Clearly 1:00 is the time the kitchen staff take their lunch break. They take payment (including “discretionary” 10% service charge) at the time of ordering so you’re committed 😡). ——— the beer was cold.

The service charge is discretionary — it can be removed before you pay, and the team should be making that clear at the point of ordering. A toastie needs proper colour and heat through; that part we take seriously. ——— on a busy stretch is always a test, and it sounds like we didn't pass it on this occasion.
