Replying to reviews about allergy and dietary requirements
We read every Google review reply published by 423 UK cafés — 175 of them mention allergy and dietary requirements. Below is what those replies actually do, then real examples: the review, the reply published underneath it today, and the reply our software writes for the same review. Business names, email addresses and people's names are removed. Nothing here is invented.
This is the one band where a careless reply is not just bad marketing. Under Natasha's Law an allergen claim is a regulated matter, and a published admission is a published admission.

——— ———, I'm truly sorry your visit didn't go as it should have. Your concerns around consistency, service, and allergen awareness are all valid, and I completely understand your frustration. Please feel free to reach out to us at ——— about the service in more detail ——— regards, ——— ———
Two lattes ordered together should match — same volume, same finish. That is not a matter of preference. On the allergen point: substituting a nut-containing cake without declaring it is something we take seriously, and it is not how the counter should work.
Nice vegan options, coffee was too acidic for us (even for my partner who loves acidic coffee), was very loud and busy but it was around midday on a Saturday. Started getting really nauseous after eating it so a bit concerned the food here was the cause, but can’t be 100% sure.
Sorry to hear you felt unwell, that’s never the news we want to hear. ——— you ate the foul mudammas dish which contains garlic, beans & quite a few spices, so it could be down to that. ——— nausea immediately after food is down to intolerances or sensitivities, as opposed to poisoning which takes a lot longer to subside. Our food is all made fresh & nothing is ever left in the fridge for more than 2 days as max, so I can assure you it’s all good on our side. I hope you’re feeling better anyways. If you’re not, please get in touch - ———
Thanks for the kind word on the vegan options. Coffee acidity is a real thing — roast level and origin both pull it in different directions, and what reads as bright to one person reads as sharp to another. On the nausea, we'd be cautious about drawing a line without more to go on, but it's not something we'd dismiss either.
