One Mayfair review, answered twice

the review

The portions were incredibly small, especially considering the prices. I ordered a chickpea curry and was surprised that it came completely on its own, with no rice or anything else included, who eats curry on its own? I also clearly mentioned twice that I am allergic to coriander, yet my tofu dish still arrived with coriander sprinkled on top. This was particularly disappointing and concerning given that I had specifically made the allergy clear. Overall, extremely overpriced for such small portions, and unfortunately a really disappointing experience. I definitely wouldn’t recommend it.

We’re very sorry to hear about your disappointing experience. We understand your frustration regarding the portion sizes and pricing, and we appreciate your feedback about the chickpea curry not being accompanied by rice or another side. More importantly, we sincerely, ——— your tofu dish was served with coriander after you had clearly informed us twice of your allergy. We take allergy requirements extremely seriously, and we recognise how concerning and unacceptable this must have been. We’re disappointed that we fell short of the standards we aim to provide, and we’re grateful that you took the time to share this feedback. Please accept our sincere apologies for the experience. We would like for you to give us an another opportunity and join us again.

what we would have written

The chickpea curry is listed as a standalone dish, and rice can be added — that is worth making clearer on the menu. On the coriander: our kitchen takes allergen requests seriously, and a dish arriving contrary to what was clearly stated twice is something we will look at closely.
